Behind the name of “Hiking the Heart”

I fell in love with hiking in 2012. I credit the steepness of the Ko’olau Range for igniting my passion for mental and physical wellness.

Hiking mountains has given me perspective of life’s journey. I realize that it’s not the trails that got easier, it’s my legs that got stronger.

All of our hearts have trails.

Some trails are easy, some are overgrown and some look impossible. Real mountains or metaphorical mountains, mountains are hike-able. With the right company, even the muddiest, overgrown trails can be enjoyable. Someone to laugh with, to help you when you fall, and to encourage you to try again when you wonder if the view is worth the pain.

Some trails change you. The best part is, you don’t have to do it alone.

You have the strength to make it through the most unpredictable of adventures!

Grab your shoes - let’s go hiking!
